Repair Shop Technician
City Floor Supply, a leading distributor of hardwood flooring and accessories, is seeking a full time repair shop technician. We are seeking a candidate who is mechanically inclined, familiar with basic machine functions, and who has an understanding of electrical motors/diagrams. Familiarity with standard shop equipment, like lathes, various meters, and hand tools, is preferred as well.
Duties will include interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner, inspecting machines/tools for problems, coming up with a list of necessary repairs, and completing the repairs in a timely manner. All the while recording the progress in the appropriate computer software. On the job training to gain familiarity with the machines/tools we sell will be provided.
Requirements:
- Two years’ experience in a repair oriented job
- A High School Degree or GED equivalent
- Computer literate at a basic level
- Lift a minimum of 70 lbs
- Be able to bend, stoop, stand, kneel and lift pertaining to shop activities
