We had such a great time during Nailer Day and we hope that you did too if you were able to make it out! It was a day full of fun, food, events, and giveaways. We had the largest turnout yet, with over 100 contractors in attendance!
If you weren’t able to make it this time, check out these highlights from this year’s awesome event and mark your calendar for next year’s Nailer Day, which will take place on March 15, 2018.
The Fastest Nailer in the East
The much-anticipated Fastest Nailer in the East competition was probably the biggest highlight of the day. Competitors had to nail 18 square feet of 2-1/4” Aacer red oak select flooring as quickly as they could.
This year’s contest drew dozens of competitors. At the end of the day, Robert O’Connell of O’Connell’s Custom Concepts clinched the $500 grand prize with a jaw-dropping time of 3:04. He is still the reigning champ!

Ricardo Silva of FHR Flooring finished 2nd (3:43) and Leon Margarite of Walsh Hardwood flooring finished 3rd (3:45).
The team of Ricardo Silva and Michel Guimaraes from FHR won the Team Competition with a time of 2:20.
We also hosted a friends and family version of the competition in order to give everyone the chance to compete and try their hand at this much-anticipated contest.
Miguel Angel Barradas of CFS won the Friends & Family Division with a time of 4:42!
Food, giveaways, and networking

Throughout the day we also held raffles and offered a whopping $5,000 in giveaways. Prizes included four tickets to see the Baltimore Orioles, a Festool drill, an NWFA membership, and more.
We hosted vendors from Bona, Bostick, Basic Coatings, Century, Dura Seal, FastenMaster, Festool, Glitsa, Norton Abrasives, Palo Duro, and more. This gave attendees the opportunity to try out new products while networking with vendors and other contractors.
Of course, we also offered a delicious catered lunch to all of those in attendance.

The energy was definitely palpable at this event, and everyone had a great time! It was also special because it was the first time that some of our contractors visited our new North American headquarters.
