Due to supply chain disruptions, Basic Coatings is currently offering StreetShoe OPT as an alternative product to StreetShoe NXT. Let’s go over the similarities and differences between StreetShoe OPT and NXT.
Basic Coatings StreetShoe OPT is formulated specially for wood floors that need to withstand high traffic, so it’s perfect to use on commercial floors. Check out the features:
- 230 VOC (LEED compliant)
- Easy to apply
- Four sheens available – Commercial Satin, Commercial Gloss, Commercial Semi-Gloss, and Commercial Super Matte.
The Super Matte sheen in particular is great to have access to, because a matte sheen is very popular.
Basic Coatings StreetShoe NXT can be used on commercial floors as well but it’s more commonly used in residential situations. Here are some of the features:
- 275 VOC (LEED compliant)
- UV Inhibitor minimizes sunlight-related color changes
- Three sheens available – Satin, Semi-Gloss, and Gloss
Both Basic Coatings StreetShoe NXT and OPT are great products that you can use and know that you’re putting down a finish that will provide the floors with an impressive amount of durability. Both of them are LEED compliant with low VOCs, and achieve a 90% cure in only 24 hours. And since they’re waterbased, they dry clear.
As you can see if you’re faced with supply chain issues, StreetShoe OPT is a great alternative to StreetShoe NXT. For more information about either product, call City Floor Supply at (800) 737-1786 or click here to browse our selection of StreetShoe products.
