It’s been two years since a fire razed our warehouse.
It truly feels strange to say this now because we have come such a long way in such a short period of time. And for that, we are truly grateful. We would like to take the time to look back and reflect on the success that we’ve experienced over these past two years. We vowed to come back bigger and better than before. Here’s a look at how we accomplished that goal!
On May 17, 2015, as our team stood watching the ruins of the Philadelphia Floor Store smolder, we vowed to relaunch, keep going, and make our business even stronger.
By May of 2016––we had rebranded as City Floor Supply secured a new facility that was much bigger. We saw a lot of potential in this new space and the anticipation really began to build!
A few highlights just from the past year (since the blog post we wrote on the one-year anniversary of the fire) include:
- The Grand Opening of our new international headquarters in King of Prussia, PA––our facilities are now running at full capacity with the machine repair shop and Pro Shop fully restored
- The launch of Wide Plank Floor Supply – a new subsidiary that offers custom wide plank, long length and reclaimed flooring
- Several in-house training events and more to come
We have learned a lot through this process of rebuilding and growing. We have become much stronger and smarter through this ordeal. Naturally, we want to communicate everything we’ve learned to our customers.
That’s how the “Lessons Learned” series was born, along with a free guide to saving your business in the event of a tragedy. We hope that this body of knowledge will help other small business owners who face similar hardships.
We’ve come so far and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon! We can’t thank you enough for your continued support.
